Project re-do room: Update!

So, it's getting closer to the day where I'm going to work on my room with Sean! I've been working on stripping down walls, cleaning out drawers, cabinets, wardrobe and what not. I think I ended up with 1 bag of trash and 3 bags of clothes and items that were good enough to give to charity.

My wardrobe is still a mess tho, because I've crammed everything into it. But of course it'll be sorted when my room is done!

I have gotten most of the things I need. Only things I need is boring things like filler for holes, cleaning shiz for the walls, sponge brushes things to actually paint the wall! It's so close, I'm so excited. Can't wait to see and show you the final thing!

I'm obsessed with Etsy. Even if it's just for admiring things or get inspiration for jewellery or homeware things! Also gives me ideas to what to look for in charity shop that I can redecorate myself, so it's a great source if you're feeling spendy (that like is all credit to Amelia Liana) or you're just plain bored

IKEA bits

Went to IKEA the other day and spent a bit too much money. To my defence, most bits are for when I do up my room, so I can't actually use most of it yet. But still exciting with some new things to freshen up my little kingdom!

Room update #1

Soooo... My mum is the best mum in the world and decided to get me an early birthday present! I've been wanting a new bookcase for ages, and we went to a charity shop last week and I fell in love. My books fit in perfectly! I keep changing around the nick nacks on it tho, but that's not uncommon of me ;-) Small steps towards my perfect room!

Project Re-do Room

My room now:

Things I want for my room:

Welded wire fence // Mirror // Cacti // Cacti set // Gallery shelf // Cabinet // Bookshelf

What I want my room to be like:

My wardrobe is "built-in" so I can't move it. I hate it beyond anything on this earth, but luckily I won't have to live with it forever (hopefully my future home won't have a built in ugly wardrobe), but the wardrobe makes it hard to move other furniture around, which is why old room and new room looks alike in lay out. It's simply because I can't do anything else that'll work.

I also want a wall tapestry and other nick nacks, but you'll see that when I'm done with my room!
I'm also trying hard to save up for good paint, because that shiz isn't cheap at all ;__; But it'll be worth it. My room means a lot to me, and my perfectionist brain will "soon" be at peace. July couldn't come faster!

What does your room looks like? I love seeing other peoples living spaces! xx

Funnily enough, succulents don't suck!

Click HERE to see where the different things are from

Note: Obviously I'm the queen of blogpost titles.

I was brought up partly on a farm. My grandmother and mother always spend a lot of time in their gardens, mum and mormor even have an allotment garden near the train station. Yet none of them passed the fucking green thumb gene to me. I kill flowers in days, even when mum says "Oh I made sure to get you some that last a week or two!"

But lately I've found I can actually keep succulents and cacti alive! I think the thing I enjoy most about them (other than the fact I only water them once or twice a week and I've managed to keep some alive for a YEAR) is the simplicity of these plants. You can get some in different colours but I prefer the green ones. And the variety in shapes is splendid! And I do enjoy a cute pot.

So go get you some non sucky succulents and cacti, if you're absolutely rubbish at plants like I am!

If I had money - eBay edition

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5

The need to shop is great in this one. But I need to be all ~adulty~ and think of spending money on ~adult~ things like paying rent, paying for food, buying things and food for Lui and what not. But a girl can dream! And I've been fond of browsing eBay lately.
