I'm obsessed with Etsy. Even if it's just for admiring things or get inspiration for jewellery or homeware things! Also gives me ideas to what to look for in charity shop that I can redecorate myself, so it's a great source if you're feeling spendy (that like is all credit to Amelia Liana) or you're just plain bored

Things I would like to receive because I was born

1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8

My birthday is the 18th of March and it means my family and boyfriend will go "So.. What do you want for your birthday?", and apparently "being happy", "a kitten" and "a million pounds" aren't acceptable answers so I searched through the interwebs as I do best, and found some things here and there I would like to get because I was taken out of my mother's body on this specific day.

AND IF ANY FAMILY MEMBERS READ THIS, PLEASE JUST BUNDLE TOGETHER FOR A PLAYSTATION 3, I WANT TO WATCH MY THE LION KING BLU-RAY AND SHOOT ZOMBIE HEADS OFF WHEN I'M ANXIOUS BECAUSE IT HELPS - NO SHIT, IT REALLY DOES - PLEASEEEE, PLEASEEEEEE, PRETTY PLEASEEEEEE

Any way, back to topic. If you didn't guess, I love my jewellery so of course there's a bunch on my want list, but lately I've been very into the look of oxidized silver. It looks a bit more rough than just silver.

And can we appreciate my accidental colour scheme for the things I would like to get? I'm that awesome.

Under This Moon....

I know it's crap quality picture, but I really wanted to share this
And note: I was not asked to do this, I'm doing it because I think it's a beautiful concept
Before the New Year I was browsing Etsy (it's a not-so-guilty-pleasure) and for around 5-6 years I've had an obsession with the moon. So when I saw this, I knew I needed to get it.

The lovely seller is called Lorena and she's based in Holland. She's really nice at answering questions and the jewellery is absolutely stunning.

The necklace is called "Under This Moon"  and is a personalised piece of jewellery. You give her a date and place and she'll make the moon into the phase it was in at the given date. My date is "17-04-10" which is the night I told Sean I loved him for the first time (and the 17th April is also my grandfather's birthday).

The moon is sterling silver and you can get different variations of the pieces. You can get a bracelet with a silk "chain", a necklace with either silk or a sterling silver chain. I've seen earrings and cufflinks too.

The pieces are a bit more expensive. But they are hand crafted. The date you ask for her to make a moon from is engraved on the back of the moon. And the little details on the actual moon are stunning. I'm in love with this piece. And since it is hand crafted it will take a bit of time before it arrives. Mine took around 2-2½ weeks, but it is worth the wait. AND, shipping is not even that bad for once.

I think Sean is getting me a moon with the date for when we first met in real life *winks loudly - YES YOU CAN WINK LOUDLY* because I really want one with that date because it was the day that changed our relationship completely and I got to hug one of the only people I trust fully and come on, he's fecking cute ;-)

I am a big fan of personalised jewellery. It's a bit more special, and you cannot beat the quality of hand made things. So if you know someone who likes the moon and is into silver jewellery, this would be a PERFECT gift.

Gold moon necklace

So.. If you remember, I announced I bought a second moon necklace. This time in gold. I was so excited. I send it to my boyfriend's address because it would be cheaper, and he had to send me some stuff any ways. So I did that. And first today I got it in my hands. And boy I was disappointed. In the pictures below I'm comparing my two moon necklaces. The silver one being the one I have reviewed and bought together with a ring.

I cannot begin to express the regret I feel after this purchase.
1.The pendant is thin and flimsy. There's no protective glass/plastic over the moon print. After taking pictures, I played around with it, felt it in my hands and just tried to figure out how it was put on, and noticed the print is coming of. I will have to put a protective layer of clear nail polish OR clear glue.
2. The back of it. I believe it is metal. Very very thin metal. But the edges are so rough, it scratches my skin if I move it around my neck or hold it in my hand.
3. It's extremely light. Nothing wrong with light materials, but feels like it will break after a day of wearing it.
4. The price.... I paid £12 for the necklace and £2 for shipping. So a total of £14 ($22/130 kr). I had it shipped to my boyfriend's home because it's cheaper and he was going to send some stuff over to begin with, so I think I saved what, £2 pounds. May sound fine to you. But here's the deal. I paid $15 for the silver necklace with shipping. That is roughly £9/90 kr. It was send from the US to Denmark. And my silver one is 10 times better quality. I refuse to believe the "time" it has taken to make this necklace, is worth £14. The materials cannot have cost that much to make this flimsy piece of jewellery. Frankly, my boyfriend do not remember how it came package, but we believe it came as a large letter. That cost 90p, not £2. And I understand that you need some profit, but this is a rip off.
5. The contact between buyer and seller was horrid. I messaged her about how long shipping would take. I never got an answer. I never even got an email that it was send off. And I checked multiple times, making sure Etsy had my correct email. And it had. And now I'm excited to see how long I will have to wait before she response to my message about all this.

I do have one positive thing to say. The chain seems nice. But.. That's it. I am so furious about the price and the quality. I have contacted the seller in disappointment. I am normally a very quiet and not out there person. If I get the wrong food at a restaurant, I won't say anything in shyness. But this time I am just furious.

I did debate whether or not to publish the seller, but I will. I don't want people to look at this necklace and thing "This is nice!". I am not bitching the whole shop she has, but this item. And the fact the contact between buyer and seller is poor. Her earrings look gorgeous and good quality.

This is the original shop *CLICK* but they recently moved to here *CLICK*

I do NOT recommend this ITEM, I cannot speak for the whole shop, but I know I personally will not purchase anything from there again.

I will recommend this shop *CLICK* who's pendants are cheaper and extremely good quality.

Hope this was somehow useful. Have a nice evening, lovelings.
