Recent snaps

It's been a slow few days. Basically just waiting for the end of November to arrive so Sean and I can have some Christmas time together. My mum found Buster's old collar and it brought back some tears. I miss that beba. I'm sorry I don't post more, I don't feel inspired for anything other than Christmas things, which it's a bit too early ;-)

Hope you're having a good month!

Funnily enough, succulents don't suck!

Note: Obviously I'm the queen of blogpost titles.

I was brought up partly on a farm. My grandmother and mother always spend a lot of time in their gardens, mum and mormor even have an allotment garden near the train station. Yet none of them passed the fucking green thumb gene to me. I kill flowers in days, even when mum says "Oh I made sure to get you some that last a week or two!"

But lately I've found I can actually keep succulents and cacti alive! I think the thing I enjoy most about them (other than the fact I only water them once or twice a week and I've managed to keep some alive for a YEAR) is the simplicity of these plants. You can get some in different colours but I prefer the green ones. And the variety in shapes is splendid! And I do enjoy a cute pot.

So go get you some non sucky succulents and cacti, if you're absolutely rubbish at plants like I am!

Langeland

Sometimes it takes some time away to appreciate what you have at home. Refreshing your soul and mind, take some time to yourself and people you care about.

This weekend my family and I took a getaway to Langeland (in case you don't know, it's an island in Denmark) And I must say, I needed it badly. I think we all did. Our holiday home was a 3 minute walk from the beach and we could see it from the terrace. We spend the entire Saturday and Sunday driving around the island, walking around towns, collecting pretty rocks, shopping in fun little stands by private homes and eating a lot of good food (a lot of local pears and apples, nom!)

Hope you enjoyed the few snapshots I decided to share with you today!
