Project re-do room: Update!

So, it's getting closer to the day where I'm going to work on my room with Sean! I've been working on stripping down walls, cleaning out drawers, cabinets, wardrobe and what not. I think I ended up with 1 bag of trash and 3 bags of clothes and items that were good enough to give to charity.

My wardrobe is still a mess tho, because I've crammed everything into it. But of course it'll be sorted when my room is done!

I have gotten most of the things I need. Only things I need is boring things like filler for holes, cleaning shiz for the walls, sponge brushes things to actually paint the wall! It's so close, I'm so excited. Can't wait to see and show you the final thing!

Home Inspiration

*Photos taken from my Tumblr, sources were all over the place and I gave up after half an hour because I'm very ill at the moment. But look, pretty house decorations and interior design!*

*insert cheesy quote/lyric about change*

I've had enough of how my room looked, how my desk was messy and bulky and impractical for what I need in a desk, so I scraped the last few bits of money I had and asked my mum "Hey, can we go to Ikea on one of your days off?" and we headed to Ikea. I will do a full post about how it looks when it's done, when I'm actually fully done. Sean is sending some pictures I asked him to print out for me (can we appreciate people like that, he's the best) and still have some projects I'm thinking of doing. But this is how my room looked for 2 weeks!

If you've ever redone your room, I feel your pain.

Acrylic storage

Set of 2 bought in Rema 1000 for 15 kr on offer.
Bought in Rema 1000 for 40 kr. Did come with a lipstick divider to put on top.
Tray (did contain 4 coloured bowls) bought in Tiger for 20 kr.
Bought in Rema 1000 for 40 kr.

Lately I've been on a kick with acrylic storage. I don't know why, but I love it. It's not obnoxious and in your face, it can fit into a lot of different room decor styles. I just love it.

I really want to get some Muji look-a-like drawers for make up storage, but I cannot find any within Europe that ships to Denmark and doesn't break my poor bank. I have looked on Ebay, but the second they are over $14 costumes might take it in and I can end up spending $40 on them. And on Amazon I find some good cheap ones but none ship to Denmark and shipping them to my boyfriend in England is just a hassle and I won't see him for over half a year and I'm impatient! So if anyone knows any good ones, please link it my way!

How to: Bubble paintings

YOU WILL NEED:

HOW TO DO IT:

Distribute the acrylic paint into your bowls. Which colours you use are totally up to you.

Pour some washing-up liquid and water into the bowls. You might need more washing-up liquid or paint, but the only way to tell is by trying while you're doing it.

Mix your bubble paint.

Blow into the paint bowl with your straw. Easiest way to tell if you need to add some more paint or washing-up liquid is that if the mixture doesn't bubble well, or the bubble don't have the colour your put in the bowl, it needs a bit more.

Gently put the paper over the bubbles, let it sit for a few seconds and remove. Repeat as many times as you desire and play around with the colours.

Let the paintings dry and afterwards put a bunch of books on top to straighten the paper. Might not be needed if you use really thick paper, but mine was a bit thinner and would curl up because of the nature of putting something wet on paper.

AND VIOLA! BUBBLE PAINTINGS.
