Last minute gift guide 2014

Books:I'm pretty sure we all know a book worm who's at-home-library cannot get big enough, so why not add to their obsession? It can be anything from a classical novel to a Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide to a cheesy romance book.

Sweets and snacks:
Food is the way to anyone's heart, so a quick and easy present is to throw together a food basket/box. Gather all their favourite treats, anything from coffee or tea to crisps and chocolate. Throw in a nice jolly card and call it a day! Also - making the treats yourself can also be an idea. Get in the kitchen and create!

Personal things:
There's nothing like a home made and personal present. I'm a firm believer in making special people for the special people in my life. It can be a painting, a pillow, some ceramics, a wooden bird house, a notebook with funny stories about you two, a photo book! Anything that will make the person melt with happiness.

Film or series:
A good present could also be something they can spend the post-Christmas-days on watching in their comfy clothes. I personally know the feeling of loving a series but I'm always like "Nah, shouldn't buy it right now", but I keep wanting it, so Christmas is a perfect time to get that special series for someone! For extra happiness points, add in some home made treats or a new PJ set (maybe even one that matches yours if you're going to watch it together)

Games:
It doesn't have to be a video game, it can also be a fun board game. My boyfriend loves his PS3 (probably soon PS4) and when I have no idea what to get him, I'll most likely get him a game for his PlayStation. But in my family we love playing board games together, especially my grandmother. Again, could be a fun thing to do together on the post-Christmas-days while you nom on the last bit of treats and Christmas dinner!

Home ware:
Give me some Yankee Candles or some nice vases and I'm in heaven. And I KNOW I'm not the only one who feels like that! Candles, glasses, book ends, table cloths, pillows, new sheets, trinket boxes, tea light holders, trays, YOU NAME IT! Pop into your local home decor shop and I'm sure there's things you'll see and think "xxx will LOVE this!"

I hope you enjoyed my little gift guide. I know it's late, but I completely forgot about it. I wish you a merry Christmas and a safe and wonderful New Year.

DIY: Crystal necklace

You'll need:

Metal thread, crystals (with holes in), a chain, pair of scissors, super glue and a.. jewellery.. thing..

How you do it:

Cut chain to desired length

Cut a piece of metal thread, rather cut it too long than too short!

Add chain to the thread

Make a loop around the chain to secure it

Tighten it

Cut off excess thread and put into the crystal and add a drop of super glue. Repeat on the other side!

Final product:

If you're giving this as a present, find a cute box, put some kind of lining in and bam! Looks very pretty and they will be shocked when you say you made it yourself

I love crystal necklaces and it's super easy to make! Christmas is around the corner, it makes an adorable present. And who doesn't love a home made present? It's personal and you spend time doing it! So I hope you can use this little quick DIY. I had fun making it!

Where to get crystals: Ebay, I got mine from this seller. Else markets, craft shops.
