Bullshit you shouldn't believe in #2

This has bothered me for many years. Especially once where I talked to a friend about something that upset me about a person I had close many years ago, and her response was this sentence. Despite telling her about what happened, this was the only thing she replied with.

And it hurt. Why can I not regret something, just because it once made me smile? I'll tell you a secret. A secret not many know. But I won't go into details, because after all these years it still haunts me. But I was in an abusive relationship. I was 13. And it's a horrible thing to be in, but if you know anything about being in that position, you'll know that they're hard to leave because there's the small good moments, the moments the person does make you smile. Even though it's all a hell.

So why can't I regret it? Regrets are a part of life, and I shouldn't have to deal with opening up to people to get that smacked in my face. People always say they regret drinking too much at a party last night, they regret sleeping with that person they met a week ago, they regret not saying yes to that job offer they got yesterday,  they regret not getting a burger for lunch, they regret not studying harder for that test. But despite the regrets we move on with our lives, a regret doesn't have to stain your head for the rest of your life. But it doesn't mean you shouldn't be allowed to regret something.

And sure you can argue that without that "experience" of being in an abusive relationship, I wouldn't have been where I am today. But it doesn't make it a good thing. It ruined me. It didn't make me stronger in the end, I'm still slowly working on it. So yes it made me smile once. But I regret letting him close to me.

Regret anything you want to, just don't let it rule your trust or life.

I love - raw crystal jewellery

I don't think it's any secret that I fecking love raw crystals. And I can safely say I've gotten a little neat collection. The only downside to this obsession is that it's so hard to find some okay priced ones. I live in Denmark, where if I buy from outside Europe, it can't go over 80 kr ($14/£8) before the risk of import taxes can be added (which, may are add, are insane!) And sometimes the shipping is just ridiculous.

BUT!

I found this lovely seller on eBay, and I was sold. The first picture was unfortunately (not for me, hehe) a one of a kind, but the two after can still be found on the shop. Shipping was fast, it's from Australia, I live in Denmark and it took maybe 1½ weeks. I can highly recommend!

The two last ones were from a DIY I did not long ago. Check it out here if you haven't seen that already! The seller for the crystals is in that post as well.

I thought about giving advice on how to style them, but I'm not fashion expert or anything, and I really wear them with whatever I wish. So you can ROCK (get it, crystals, rocks, hahahaha?!?!?) however you like!

Sunday Funday: My week in pictures

On the 13th Buster turned 11! It was a really special birthday for us, since we almost lost him in August. He loved his cake to bits! And pressies. He loves opening presents, it's adorable.

Been counting down to the Christmas decorating time! My mum doesn't allow ANY Christmas decorations out before 1st December. 2 weeks left!

"Peace & Love & OPI" (by OPI, duh) matches kinda perfectly with the necklace I showed you how to make last Sunday

This is a life saver. I live with my mum and my younger brother, and they can take up the entire hook rack thing in the hall way. So I finally got a coat rack to hang over my door! Got it for $4 on eBay I believe. LIFE SAVER!

Better well prepared that not prepared at all! Only 4 presents left to buy ;-)

Nothing screams health like onion and cheese pizza and a fizzy drink that looks toxic.

My life isn't that interesting but I had no idea what else to do for Sunday's post. I've been ill all week and that's always a mood booster, am I right?!

How was your week? Are you also counting down to decoration day?

DIY: Crystal necklace

You'll need:

Metal thread, crystals (with holes in), a chain, pair of scissors, super glue and a.. jewellery.. thing..

How you do it:

Cut chain to desired length

Cut a piece of metal thread, rather cut it too long than too short!

Add chain to the thread

Make a loop around the chain to secure it

Tighten it

Cut off excess thread and put into the crystal and add a drop of super glue. Repeat on the other side!

Final product:

If you're giving this as a present, find a cute box, put some kind of lining in and bam! Looks very pretty and they will be shocked when you say you made it yourself

I love crystal necklaces and it's super easy to make! Christmas is around the corner, it makes an adorable present. And who doesn't love a home made present? It's personal and you spend time doing it! So I hope you can use this little quick DIY. I had fun making it!

Where to get crystals: Ebay, I got mine from this seller. Else markets, craft shops.

Early Christmas shopping

I'm a person who likes to be prepared. And don't worry, I'm only showing the things I got for people who don't even known I have a blog or can get access to it!

Let's start with what I've (well it's from both my brother and me) ordered for my mum.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue 100 ml gift set. Can be found here.

Hedgehog pendant on 18" chain. Can be found here.
When you order online, please order early. Ask or look for the option to return even though Christmas is a bit away, just in case. Because mailing things during December is insane. I KNOW my mum will love these things, so a return will not be needed.

For my grandmother I got:

These adorable tea light houses were a steal from Rema 1000. If you're fast, you can still get them, but in my lokal one they sold out during the first 2 days. The big ones cost 49 kr and the small 39 kr. There's 2 different designs in the big ones and only one design for the small. I would personally love to have these, but my mormor deserve them more than I do!

I also got something for my cousin, my friend Noe (hi baba if you're reading, you'll love what I got your cute arse :i) and Sean, but I don't want to put anything in here because I'm sure at least 2 of them look at my blog!

Now to myself... hihi

Cat make up bag 20 kr, penguin storage box 30 kr (both from Tiger). "Peace, Love and OPI" and "Alpine Snow" 125 kr each, but there's a 3 for 2 offer in Matas at the moment! And then some glittery hair ties arrived today. Can be found here.

I still need to figure out what I'm giving my uncles, aunt, cousins and brother. But good Christmas is still a bit away ;-)

Are you like me, an early shopper? Or are you last minute? Tell me in the comments!

My Favourite Autumn/Winter Polishes

From left: Miss Grey (classic dark grey) // Purple Heart (petrol like) // Nero (pure black)

From left: Navy (dark navy with lighter blue shimmer) // Copper (copper shimmer, kinda looks like autumn leaves)

From left: Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok fine! (dark greyish green) // Devilish (almost black wine red)

From left: Miss Fancy Pants (classic gregie) // Stylenomics (very dark forest green) // Avenue Maintain (parisian blue)
From left: Malaga Wine (deep wine red) // Germani-cure (red-black-orange shimmer) // The World Is Not Enough (blue grey shimmer with green and pink reflects)

From left: Every Month Is Octoberfest (deep purple with orangy red specks) // On Her Majesty's Secret Service (blue base with green, gold and pinkish specks) // Lincoln Park After Park (almost black purple)
I will admit, autumn/winter nail polishes and colours are my favourite. I've always been drawn to dark and deep colours. Especially the almost black colours. And for a bit of extra sassiness, you can always add a glitter top coat!

I did think of including my favourite Christmas/holiday polishes too, but I think I'll wait a bit with that ;-)

Hope you had a safe and fun Halloween!
