Wooden jewellery hanger

I've been too much into interior and especially raw wooden items lately. I came across this on a tumblr post and then dragged Sean out for a walk to find a branch. And it was piss easy to make.

You'll need:

• A branch
• Nails and a hammer
• Some string

How you do it:
Find out where you want to place the nails. When you hammer them in, make sure the nails are going a bit upwards, so when you put on the jewellery, it won't just slip off. Carefully hammer in the nails, make sure they don't go through the branch. Now measure out some string, rather too long than too short, you can always cut some off. Wrap it around the branch a few times and make sure the knot are on top of the branch, so it won't dangle downwards. Now put a nail in the desired placement, hang it up and start putting jewellery on it!

I hope that could inspire some of you for new ways to store and display jewellery. I'm in love with mine at least!

DIY: Crystal necklace

You'll need:

Metal thread, crystals (with holes in), a chain, pair of scissors, super glue and a.. jewellery.. thing..

How you do it:

Cut chain to desired length

Cut a piece of metal thread, rather cut it too long than too short!

Add chain to the thread

Make a loop around the chain to secure it

Tighten it

Cut off excess thread and put into the crystal and add a drop of super glue. Repeat on the other side!

Final product:

If you're giving this as a present, find a cute box, put some kind of lining in and bam! Looks very pretty and they will be shocked when you say you made it yourself

I love crystal necklaces and it's super easy to make! Christmas is around the corner, it makes an adorable present. And who doesn't love a home made present? It's personal and you spend time doing it! So I hope you can use this little quick DIY. I had fun making it!

How to: Bubble paintings

YOU WILL NEED:

HOW TO DO IT:

Distribute the acrylic paint into your bowls. Which colours you use are totally up to you.

Pour some washing-up liquid and water into the bowls. You might need more washing-up liquid or paint, but the only way to tell is by trying while you're doing it.

Mix your bubble paint.

Blow into the paint bowl with your straw. Easiest way to tell if you need to add some more paint or washing-up liquid is that if the mixture doesn't bubble well, or the bubble don't have the colour your put in the bowl, it needs a bit more.

Gently put the paper over the bubbles, let it sit for a few seconds and remove. Repeat as many times as you desire and play around with the colours.

Let the paintings dry and afterwards put a bunch of books on top to straighten the paper. Might not be needed if you use really thick paper, but mine was a bit thinner and would curl up because of the nature of putting something wet on paper.
